Privacy Policy

What we collect when you use Baseballista from the United States, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Who is responsible

Baseballista is operated by AD Média (SIRET 91193070900017), 14 Allée des Bois, Lormont, France, contact: contact@baseballista.com. We decide how and why the personal information described here is processed. This policy applies to baseballista.com, app.baseballista.com and the Baseballista app. It is read together with our Terms of Service.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us

  • Account information: name, email address and password (handled by our sign-in provider), and your role (coach or player).
  • Team information: team or club name, city, logo, opponents, game and practice schedules, lineups, positions and statistics.
  • Roster information entered by coaches: a player's name, jersey number, photo, positions, batting and throwing side, and optionally email, phone number and date of birth.
  • Messages and photos you send in team chat, and your replies to polls.
  • Support messages you send us, including through the contact form.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage information: IP address, browser and device type, and basic connection and error data used to keep the service working and secure.
  • Analytics: if you accept analytics on our cookie banner, we use Google Analytics to understand how the site and app are used (pages and features used, general location from IP address). It is not loaded if you choose "essential only".
  • Notification settings: if you turn on push notifications, a token that lets us send them to your device.

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive limited billing details (such as your plan, billing status, and the last four digits and brand of your card) but not your full card number.

We do not intentionally collect Social Security numbers, precise location, health information or other sensitive categories of personal information.

3. How we use information

  • to create and run your account and provide the service (team management, lineups, statistics, chat, calendar);
  • to send service messages such as game reminders, invitations and account or billing notices, and push notifications you have turned on;
  • to process payments and prevent fraud;
  • to answer support requests;
  • to maintain security, fix problems and improve the service;
  • to comply with the law and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.

4. Who sees your information

  • Your team. Members of a team can see the roster, schedule, lineups, statistics and chat of that team, as set by the team's coaches. A coach decides who is invited. Some features, such as a public live-game link, are visible to anyone with the link.
  • Service providers who process information for us under contract: Google (Firebase) for database, hosting, sign-in and file storage; Hostinger for website hosting; Stripe for payments; an email delivery provider for service emails; Google Analytics for analytics if you accept them; and an error-monitoring service to detect and fix crashes.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law or to protect rights, safety and the security of the service.
  • Business transfers. If AD Média is involved in a merger, sale or reorganization, information may be transferred as part of it, with notice to you.

We do not "sell" or "share" personal information as those terms are defined in US state privacy laws (that is, for money, or for cross-context behavioral advertising).

5. Children

Baseballista is aimed at coaches, club administrators and players aged 13 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13, and children under 13 should not create an account.

Youth baseball is a core use, so coaches may record roster information about players under 13 (for example name, number, photo and positions). A coach who does this confirms they have permission from the child's parent or legal guardian. A parent or guardian can contact us at contact@baseballista.com to see what we hold about their child, ask us to correct or delete it, or withdraw permission. If we learn that a child under 13 has an account, or that information was added without the required permission, we will delete it.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and local storage that are necessary to run the service, such as keeping you signed in and remembering your language and cookie choice. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics also sets cookies. You can change your choice by clearing the stored preference in your browser, which brings the cookie banner back. Because we do not sell or share personal information and load analytics only with your consent, browser "Do Not Track" signals do not change how we handle your data.

7. How long we keep information

We keep your information while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal information within 30 days, except information we must keep to meet legal obligations. Billing records are kept for as long as French law requires (up to 10 years). Backups are overwritten on a rolling schedule.

8. Where information is processed

AD Média is based in France, and our providers (including Google/Firebase) process information in the European Union and in the United States. If you use Baseballista from the United States, your information is transferred to and processed in France and other countries whose privacy laws may differ from those where you live. Where required, we rely on safeguards such as standard contractual clauses with our providers.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and access controls. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on the state you live in (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia and others), you may have the right to:

  • know and access the personal information we hold about you and receive a copy;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete your information;
  • opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising (we do neither);
  • not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Everyone can also change their cookie choice (section 6), turn off notifications in their profile, and edit or delete much of their information in the app. To exercise a right, email contact@baseballista.com from the address on your account. We will verify your identity and respond within 45 days (or sooner if the law requires; we will tell you if we need more time). You can use an authorized agent, and we may ask for proof of their authority. If we decline a request, you may appeal by replying to our response, and you may also contact your state attorney general.

Categories of personal information we collected in the past 12 months, as described in section 2: identifiers (name, email, phone, IP address), information you provide about your team and players, photos and messages, commercial information (plan and billing status), internet and device activity, and information derived from these for security and service improvement. We disclose these categories to the service providers listed in section 4 for the purposes in section 3.

11. Marketing emails

We send service emails that you need to run your account. If we send you marketing or product news, you can unsubscribe at any time through the link in the email.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. If the changes are material we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect, and the "Last updated" date above will change.
